Hold On
Overcoming the weight. Finding the rope.
I woke up and felt the weight again Same old fight beneath my skin Tried to pray but words were dry Tried to hope, but I don't know why The silence isn't empty though It holds a whisper I used to know
I know you're drowning I have been there But there's a rope tied to something real And even if your grip slips He's holding on He's holding on
You don't have to wear a fearless face He doesn't leave when fear takes hold Jesus wept in darkest hours He's with you now in nights like ours Even in pieces, you're still loved No wound too deep for His embrace
I know you're drowning I have been there But there's a rope tied to something real And even if your grip slips He's holding on He's holding on
You may not hear Him when the world gets loud Or when the fear becomes your only sound But through the fog of all your disappointment His quiet voice still says: I'm here. My child, I am here
I know you're drowning I have been there But there's a rope tied to something real And even if your grip slips He's holding on He's holding on
The Son of Nazareth He's holding on The Lamb who bore the cross He's holding on His scars still speak of grace He's holding on His vow still holds Jesus Hold on, Yes, the King will come Hold on, Yes, the King will come Hold on, Yes, the King will come Hold on, Yes, the King will come Hold on, Yes, the King will come Keep holding on.
I know you're drowning I have been there But there's a rope tied to something real And even if your grip slips He's holding on He's holding on
The Lord Gives and Takes Away
In the hardest moments, let me come to You.
Job had riches, flocks, and land Every comfort made life grand Then came the day when all was gone But Job still praised with trembling song
The Lord gives and takes away But I will choose to sing and say Blessed be Your name, O Lord You are good forevermore
Heartache comes and storms arise But in my heart, this truth I know God is here through every pain His steadfast love will keep me safe
The Lord gives and takes away But I will choose to sing and say Blessed be Your name, O Lord You are good forevermore
When I don't see what You see Still I'll trust You faithfully Though I'm broken, Your love remains It's steady through the hurt and doubt
The Lord gives and takes away Still I will lift my voice and pray Blessed be Your name, O Lord I will trust forevermore
I Choose to Forgive
Choosing love over anger. The story of Joseph.
Joseph's brothers broke his heart Left him in grief and without a home But in his pain, God heard his cries And taught his heart to do what's right
I choose to forgive, just like Joseph did With a heart full of love, no anger hid God comforts me in my time of need I choose to love, I choose to forgive
You meant to harm me, Joseph said But God turned it for good instead I won't hold anger, I will love With open heart, I choose to forgive
I choose to forgive, just like Joseph did With a heart full of love, no anger hid God comforts me in my time of need I choose to love, I choose to forgive
When my heart hurts and I can not breathe I'll trust God's love to heal my pain The road ahead is paved with grace Just choose the cross, just choose God's love
I choose to forgive, just like Joseph did With a heart full of love, no anger hid God comforts me in my time of need I choose to love, I choose to forgive I choose to forgive, just like Joseph did With a heart full of love, no anger hid God comforts me in my time of need I choose to love, I choose to forgive Yes, I choose to love, I choose to forgive
Leave the World Behind
When man fails, Christ remains. The only voice worth following.
When I'm all alone and my failures fall heavy I turn to Christ, He knows my fears When I'm deserted by the ones I trusted most I turn to Christ, He never leaves
And Christ says to me Follow Me, I'll give you all you need Follow Me, I'll give you rest Leave the world behind Trust in Me, I'll be your guide Follow Me, I'll give you all you need
When I trust in man, he always fails to catch me I turn to Christ, He's always faithful When the doctors say, my dear, there's nothing we can do I turn to Christ, He comes to save me
And Christ says to me Follow Me, I'll give you all you need Follow Me, I'll give you rest Leave the world behind Trust in Me, I'll be your guide Follow Me, I'll give you all you need
Surround me with hearts that love You more than life Hold me steady when I doubt You When I have nothing left to give You are my strength, You are my all
And Christ says to me Follow Me, I'll give you all you need Follow Me, I'll give you rest Leave the world behind Trust in Me, I'll be your guide Follow Me, I'll give you all you need
Fix My Eyes on You
Walking on water. Keeping your gaze above the storm.
The world stirs storms, then walks away Leaves me stranded, lost and afraid But they forget what You can do, You speak one word, and the winds obey You
Help me fix my eyes on You, O Lord Strengthen my faith when I am walking unsure And when I step, keep me steady and true Let my gaze be only set on You Let my gaze be only set on You
You spoke to the storm, and it knew Your name And silence followed where fear had reigned Just one word, and the waves laid down And fear lost its place when You spoke aloud
Help me fix my eyes on You, O Lord Strengthen my faith when I am walking unsure And when I step, keep me steady and true Let my gaze be only set on You Let my gaze be only set on You
Your grace runs faster than my failures Your hand is there before I fall You don't just save, You steady the waters And fill the silence with peace that holds
Help me fix my eyes on You, O Lord Strengthen my faith when I am walking unsure And when I step, keep me steady and true Let my gaze be only set on You Let my gaze be only set on You Let my heart be only set on You Let my heart be only set on You
Heaven Tells Me
Anchored in eternity. My life is secure.
Heaven tells me, hold on to my faith Heaven tells me, my home is with Christ Heaven tells me, set my sight on the cross My life is secure, 'cause Heaven tells me
On my knees I stay praying, for this pain to be gone The defeat rips my world up but I'll take Your word, oh Lord Hold my hand and please don't let go, 'cause my heart is only Yours I turned my back on life's pleasures, there's no going back for more Heaven help me
Heaven tells me, hold on to my faith Heaven tells me, my home is with Christ Heaven tells me, set my sight on the cross My life is secure, 'cause Heaven tells me
Through Your fire, You refine me, I am changed before the world Every chain has been broken, I am free, forever Yours Holy Spirit, come dwell in me, strengthen me through every strife I will trust in Your promise, for You alone are God Heaven help me
Heaven tells me, hold on to my faith Heaven tells me, my home is with Christ Heaven tells me, set my sight on the cross My life is secure, 'cause Heaven tells me
We, Your children, are here before You, oh Lord Asking You to be our guide forevermore We are tired of taking charge of our lives So we lay it all down on Your cross
Heaven tells me, hold on to my faith Heaven tells me, my home is with Christ Heaven tells me, set my sight on the cross My life is secure, 'cause Heaven tells me
There's a Saviour Calling
Lost in the city. Found by grace. Surrender.
I walked so long through these London streets, With tears in my eyes and pain in my heart. My hands were frozen, I didn't care, This storm outside matched what's inside. I sought shelter, but none in sight. I was overwhelmed by every thought.
But there's a Saviour who is calling, One who sees me and won't let go. He came to carry all my burdens, A weight I wasn't meant to hold. I may not have all the answers, But I'll lift my voice and say, Yes my Lord, I surrender all.
I built my altar out of traumas, Revisited pain just to feel alive. Searched for love but found delay, Hid my fear behind a smile. You knew all my guilt yet still You died You took the cross to set me free.
I don't know what lies ahead But I've run this far to turn back So I lay my burdens down And lift my empty hands To say, Yes my Father I surrender all to You.
But there's a Saviour who is calling, One who sees me and won't let go. He came to carry all my burdens, A weight I wasn't meant to hold. I may not have all the answers, But I'll lift my voice and say, Yes my Lord, I surrender all. Yes, my Lord. Yes, my Lord. I surrender all.
Part of Your Miracle
Small hands. Broken bread. More than enough.
The world says I'm not enough Says I don't have what matters much But You see something I can't see A place for even someone like me
So make me the child with the loaves and the fish I hold out so little, praying You'll bless it You don't need it, but You choose it You break it, You use it You give more than I can believe More than enough, more than I dreamed
They looked at the crowd with doubtful eyes "We can't afford this," was their reply But You weren't looking for perfect or grand Just someone willing to open their hands
So make me the child with the loaves and the fish I hold out so little, praying You'll bless it You don't need it, but You choose it You break it, You use it You give more than I can believe More than enough, more than I dreamed
Use what I bring, though it's small in my hand A seed You can grow into more than I planned Let it take root in the work only You see And rise in Your time, like a strong oak tree
So make me the child with the loaves and the fish I hold out so little, praying You'll bless it You don't need it, but You choose it You break it, You use it You give more than I can believe More than enough, more than I dreamed More than enough, more than I dreamed More than enough, more than I dreamed
